| A graduate in jazz performance from the University of Michigan, Andrew Kratzat plays bass in both the acoustic trio and the jazz ensemble. At 18 he was the youngest person ever to win the International Society of Bassists Jazz Competition, and way back in high school was named Best Student Jazz Instrumentalist by Downbeat Magazine.
Pianist John Nam is originally from Korea and now resides in New York. He has a BA from Cornell University, a Master's in Jazz Studies from the University of Michigan, and is working on a second Master's at Manhattan School of Music. His debut CD, Energy and Angular Momentum, was released in 2005. He has performed with numerous jazz musicians in Michigan and New York, and led two tours of Korea with Jeremy, Andrew, and Chad.
Drummer Chad Hochberg hails from the Boston area and is a graduate in jazz performance from the University of Michigan. He has performed with renowned jazz artists such as Hank Jones, Chris Potter, Arthur Blythe and Ed Sarath. Chad has studied with many great teachers and artists including: Gary Fieldman, Ellen Rowe, Michael Gould, Geri Allen, and Bob Hurst.

Saxophonists Dann Friedman, Andrew Bishop, or Dean Moore III have turned the group into a jazz quintet. Below Dann joins John Nam on baby grand piano, Jeremy, Andrew and Chad at the Ark in 2004.
