I have some unfortunate news to share here: I had a bit of an accident recently and ended up with a broken arm. Thankfully, I’ll be ok. The bones are aligned, the cast is set, and the x-rays are looking downright handsome. It does, however, unfortunately mean that we’ve had to reschedule a number of shows originally slated for April and May, along with the record release.
We’re now looking forward to releasing “Whorls” on Fri. June 29 via Compass Records (“pre-party” at our Pledgemusic site). And we’ll kick off summer touring on June 22nd - well after my arm should be all healed & healthy - at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, CA, with additional stops slated for New York, Boston, Nashville, Huntington Summer Arts Festival, Caroga Lake Music Festival, New Bedford Folk Festival, Michigan's Blissfest, and many more.
In the meantime, I’ll be focusing on healing right, and I'll be doing what I can with one very capable hand. Naturally this will include a lot of watercolors, yo-yo, and kazoo. This could be a new direction, folks!
In all seriousness, I feel really grateful that the long-term prognosis is good, and also to have such gracious support from my team, family and friends, and our April venues.
Please check out our tour schedule below, & feel free to let us know if you have an idea. All the best, & see you on the up & the up!
